I have been using Trakt for a short time and I am a big fan of sports in general, I really wanted to know if Trakt has any project to put soccer championships or even the NFL on the site so that you can track it, I saw that it has the Premier League, it would be cool to have the Champions League and other championships
We have no immediate plans to add sports, but we are considering it for the future. Data source could be thesportsdb.com. Any sports leagues that exist on the site currently should not be considered reliable. I don’t believe TMDB officially allows those.
I would love this - mainly because Extreme E just got deleted from TMDB, having previously been allowed along with Formula E. While Extreme E as a motorsport series has now ended, they’ve been promising Extreme H (cars powered by hydrogen fuel cells) and if they do get off the ground I would like to track watching those episodes.
Ironically, about a quarter of the Extreme E coverage was permissible under TMDB’s rules because the Qualifying programme was mostly pre-recorded and not live.
I’m going to bump this and see if there’s any way to have this put on the roadmap as I suspect there’s a good number of Trakt users watching a variety of sports: football (all kinds), cricket, F1, etc. plus with the Olympics being an event in 2026 it would be nice to have an accurate view of people’s viewing habits.
I realize this would be a mostly manual tracked watching rather than anything automated and scribbled but I feel it has value.

Another sports fan who would like to catalogue my sports viewing (about 1/3 of my TV viewing).
NRL State of Origin was listed by this site, but recently disappeared.
FIFA World Cup 2026 was available for a short while, but disappeared a few days ago.
However, Formula 1, Indycar and English Premier League are available. Who makes the decision as to which sports are listed and which aren’t?
World Cup has returned, but my history has been deleted. Is it worth re-doing, or will it be removed again?
And once again the World Cup has disappeared. Wish someone would tell us what is happening.
Really wish sports was added into the Trakt database. Hate constantly losing my streaks because of Friday Night sports which is getting amplified to other days now because of the World Cup. I swear I have been watching more than 2 hours of TV the past few days!
