I recently left the Apple iPhone ecosystem for Google. Is there a way to transfer or change or renew my account via google now instead of apple? Do I let it lapse and sign back up for VIP? Will I lose anything like grandfathered in perks?
Did you have a subscription through apple? Otherwise it doesn’t matter what phone you use.
it shouldn’t matter since VIP is tied to an email address i would assume.
If you’re referring to your VIP subscription, I took a look and it was already cancelled on Apple so you won’t be charged again. Once your expiration date is up if you want to continue your VIP subscription, you’ll need to sign up again. You can do so through the app or the website.
I cancelled and renewed it, like turning it off and on. Should be “on” now. Is that the only way to do it?
were you subscribed through the app or were you subscribed through the trakt.tv website? if you subbed on the app then as long as you cancelled the sub on the AppStore you can sub again on the Google Play Store or the website
I looked at your account information specifically and the subscription is cancelled. You’ll have access to your VIP features through the expiration date listed on your vip page. Once the expiration date is up, you’ll need to sign up again. If you have any issues, just send a dm to @support or email support@trakt.tv directly and we can get it sorted.
