Syncing with Apple TV+ limited to 1 year

I set up the Apple TV+ scrobbler/sync.
It worked, but the oldest synced episode id form October 13, 2023
And I’ve had Apple TV+ (and iTunes movies and shows, which appear to also sync) for far longer than that.
The next data syncs only synced the newly watched episodes.

Is there a way to sync my whole Apple TV+ / iTunes movies and shows history, or will it remain limited to about one year?
Thanks in advance.

If you go to the Apple TV app on iOS, then the home tab, scroll all the way to the bottom (keep scrolling since it lazy loads). You should see the “Recently Watched” category and if you click that, does it have items older then what Trakt imported?

Thx for your message.
No. There is nothing older in the Apple TV app in “recently watched” than what Trakt imported.
However, some movies in the “recently watched” category were not imported (both Apple TV+ movies like “The Family Plan” and movies purchased via iTunes (“The Dark Knight Rises”).
There are also a lot of purchased movies and TV shows that the apps formerly known as iTunes consider “watched” that were not imported in Trakt.
It’s probably something else technically, but it would be nice to have them imported too.

It will only sync things watched from Apple TV+, not items you purchased from iTunes. We also skip duplicate plays, so maybe that explains why Family Plan wasn’t synced?

Something is off.
“The Family Plan” did not sync and is not marked as watched by me in Trakt - definitely an Apple TV+ movie and in “Recently watched” category of the TV aoo
“Pulp Fiction” was imported, with a play on October 3, 2024 - I purchased it from iTunes and don’t think it was a “free” Apple TV+ movie on that date.

Please post an image of your Apple TV+ history that displays that movie. Does it have the watches date visible as well?

Here it is. No watch data visible (for Pulp Fiction I got it from Trakt), but it was released December 15, 2023.
