"The Haunting" TV show won't match seasons

There’s this show on Trakt, called just “The Haunting”, that has 2 seasons. Both IMDB and Netflix has each season as a complete separate shows - “The haunting of Hill house” and “The haunting of Bly manor”. That messes up everything both on Flexget and Plex :frowning:

I know Trakt takes data from TVDB, but I’m not willing to register there just to edit things (Trakt is my main tracking service) and more and more I notice discrepancies on their site from all other data providers

Is there anything that can be done other than creating an account on misleading data provider?

There have been several tickets about this in support. Basically, TVDB has it listed as a single anthology series with 2 seasons, which is why Trakt also has it listed that way. They don’t seem to want to change it to separate shows based on feedback I’ve received from other Trakt members.

Any reasoning from them? IMDB, TMDB and Netflix itself has it as separate shows  Wonder why wouldn’t they…

Because it’s the next chapter in the The Haunting anthology series.

Same with for example Monogatari series (anime), but since their forums are gone… #sigh.

I still don’t get it. The next chapter is mentioned once somewhere in a description and TVDB decides it’s same show? Even Amblin has different title, different release year. Also trailer says it’s Series trailer and not Season trailer

Yes, I know it’s not the first and it’s already getting really annoying. Lots of shows in their DB are messed up. And not only that - they keep changing structure of some in the middle of the seasons.

I’ve noticed that the Trakt page for Bly Manor has now been made to be separate from Hill House. If The Haunting is officially an anthology series, then the page needs to be corrected to reflect this.

Hopefully the play counts/history are going to be corrected also now this has been split

Bly Manor shows i watched 9 out of 0 episodes and if i view details it shows play history for Hill House

The stats should update over the next few days. Season 2 was moved into season 1 of Bly Manor so no data was removed. Both shows use TMDB as the data source now to match Netflix’s preferred structure.
