Trakt show collections. Some streaming services require both TMDB and TVDB for viewing of TV shows. Trakt used to add shows to both databases automatically but now only uses TMDB.

The “report show” feature could be enhanced to allow users to manually add the TVDB ID, ensuring that shows can be watched on streaming services that require both TMDB and TVDB data. This would significantly improve the user experience for those who encounter compatibility issues.
RE TMDB website says external ID’s are locked.
Can you show how to do it?
The shows I am wanting to add are all 2024 and all have IMDB id’s.
TMDB may have temporarily restricted external ID edits. Check the TMDB forums or support channels for the latest updates on this policy. If the restriction is in place, you might need to wait until it’s lifted or explore alternative methods to add the shows to your collection.
If you need the TVDB ID added on any page and you can’t add the ID on TMDB’s external ID’s, you can report it with their ID and we’ll manually add.
Keep in mind that you won’t see the ID in the website, it is hidden in the background since TVDB isn’t our main datasource.
