Tried adding this show onto tmdb since its only on tvdb. Probably did something wrong. When i check the comparison page its blank for tmdb. Just curious whats the correct way to do things or how it should work? For future reference as well. Thanks

EDIT: i tried importing the show again and it created a new trakt entry. I suspect because i added a season 1 and new premiere when there wasnt one before. So yah now what?

You have to add the tvdb id to tmdb and wait a while for it to sync.
If you imported the tmdb id to trakt too you’ve successfully created a duplicate entry 
Report it through the trakt website as a dupe and link the original trakt page so support can merge them.
To link a page that only has it’s TVDB ID on Trakt to TMDB all you need to do is go to TMDB and add the TVDB ID to the external IDs section:
After you do that, just wait a few hours and refresh the TVDB page on Trakt. That will get the comparison updated with the TMDB ID. (You can report the page and we can refresh it if needed).
You can also report that page and inform the TMDB ID and I’ll manually add it and refresh the page.
Since you imported the TMDB page, that created a duplicate, so I’ll merge them.
