I can’t wait for this, Justin!!!

Agreed, that will be very nice to have accurate episode runtimes!

That’s great. I’m tired of the people changing the runtime of tv shows on TMDB (that should be an average for the episodes) to the total runtime.

I totally agree. Runtime on TMDB gets messed with all the time. I complain about TVDB a lot, but I still prefer it to TMDB. It will be so nice to finally have accurate stats.

Exactly! I just changed the runtime for The Great om TMDB as the total runtime for the series is 8 hours and 35 minutes, not 10 hours.
Also, there are many series with different episode runtimes so it would be great to have these varying runtimes directly in Trakt!

@justin
Is there an update from TVDB about the new v4 API?
Or has the v4 API already been released but not implemented by Trakt yet?

TVDB is beta testing it, not sure when they plan for a public release of the new api.

Clearly they are behind. They are two months overdue. But they just had a major issue with people not being able to update episodes at the translation level.

That’s a shame. I’m genuinely excited about the more accurate stats.
Meanwhile, I have corrected a bunch of shows so my stats will be way more accurate than it currently is. A bunch of shows from have wrong episode runtimes in TVDB so if you’re bored than this would be something great to do during the lockdown :wink:

Nah. I’m good. I maintain enough shows.

@justin I believe the v4 is released now. Did you switch yet, or are you currently working with the new API? Are there any other advantages which will improve Trakt?

This isn’t ever going to be implemented mostly likely. See here for the reason why.

If you open a support ticket, we can manually override an episode’s airtime for Trakt.
