All my tv show episodes aren’t being marked off as watched. Sometimes I may watch for example Seal Team season 4, then when I go to the trakt website I can see quite a few episodes not showing up at all, although I have watched it. I have to manually mark as watched.
Also, if I run the Sync function via my Kodi add-on, trakt sticks at 12% “Retrieving Watched Episodes from TRAKT” - I don’t believe there are any issues with the kodi add-on from what I was told, and read.
Would it be failing synchronization due to an issue on your end?
I already tried that method and it doesn’t work. The movies work, but not the TV show episodes. I also have no errors in my kodi logs regarding the kodibtrakt addon. No one else seems to be experiencing this issue based on my research o the kodi forums.
A 504 should be a temporary issue, if the Trakt api is getting overloaded for example. When that happens, it automatically adds in more servers and the problem should go away.
Well, I appreciate that. What is confusing me is that the trakt kodi addon developer can’t give me an answer, and you guys say it’s not on your end. So basically I have an issue that does not exist.
A 504 is on Trakt’s side, but it’s a temporary issue so tough to debug something that is related to server’s scaling up or down. Does every single API call get a 504 error? It seems like there should be some other error codes or messages.
Well, I don’t think so because it syncs up to 12% then the add-on exits after 3 minutes. As previously mentioned, this problem is only with episodes. The Movies work perfectly.
I also, as per the developer of the add-on have the debug log turned on with kodi logging on. Here is my Kodi log file. I’m not sure if it is of any use to you, but I have provided a link to it.
I received this recommendation from Razzeee over on the kodi trakt git.
If those watches are not correct, you usually need to reach out to the trakt support to have them removed. Or you could try a tool, but you might not have as good control that way.
Justin has been responding to this issue in GitHub. Between Razzee and Justin, you’re in good hands. It also appears there are some questions from them that you haven’t responded to.
Are your 16k+ ratings accurate? Did you rate them or is this some kind of duplication issue?
I think that’s what he’s suggesting when he says to get your ratings sorted out with support. But if they are accurate, which is my guess as you’re a long time Trakt user, then there’s nothing that can be done to your account.
The developers are now aware that there are speed issues if there are too many ratings going through the API and will see if they can make any improvements.
Thanks for the update. As far as I know my rating are accurate. I have no duplicated ratings, and I check regularly. Please keep me posted as to when Justin makes any improvements on the API issue.
