It’s something I think I’ve noticed over the past few days. Is there a problem communicating with TMDB’s api or something, or are y’all now prioritizing TVDB’s images?
TVDB is used for posters and fanart if available in hi res, it falls back to TMDB. Episode screenshots prefer TMDB since they support much higher resolutions. We also use Fanart.tv for some images and fallback.
What does that mean exactly? TVDB posters have been a strict 680x1000 for a long while now IIRC, and in the past Trakt preferred TMDB for posters, backgrounds and episode screenshots (all of which TMDB supports higher resolutions), and if not available there it fell to TVDB. That’s different now, at least for posters and backgrounds?

Can I request Trakt goes back to preferring TMDB for posters and backgrounds? I think they do a better job than TVDB in that dept. And as before, if TMDB doesn’t have artwork for a show or movie, fall back to TVDB.

I just noticed this as I was updating a show. The artwork changed to different images of a lower quality.
