Two UI Woes (Search Forgetfulness, and Chunky Banners)

Hello, I just wanted to bring up stuff that’s been bothering me. I’m a desktop user on Windows, Firefox.

Banner
The banner that shows up when you do something is as wide as the screen, which (aesthetics aside) blocks the search options until it goes away. Example: image.
Speaking of, the tooltips for those scroll up/down with the results but that’s just a nitpick. Example: video

Search
I use Trakt exclusively for series, so whenever I search something I’m almost never looking for movies. Unfortunately when I set my search option to anything, the website will immediately forget about it if I leave it go to the front page. Example: video
Perhaps this is Trakt’s way of nudging me to use it for movies too, and I get that if so. But the fact that it’ll forget my setting in the same browsing session is very annoying. At least it doesn’t forget if I search back to back.

That’s all, thanks.

I really like that idea of saving the search type to what you last selected. I’ll have that fix out in this weeks website update.

I noticed the banner had some extra bottom padding, but those messages are the global style otherwise. I see the tooltip issue too, but haven’t found a quick fix for it yet.
