Unable to rate movies in search results

Option to rate movies directly from search results has disappeared.
TV Shows is unaffected.

You would think after literally doubling the price of a VIP subscription, they could take 1 minute to address an issue that is reproducible. Is this a bug? Is this intended?

I can still rate movies from searcg. Are you sure theres not a browser extension or style messing things up?

There seems to be a bug with the rating being hidden for released items (it’s supposed to only hide for unreleased) with the new search engine. Ratings in general work for me too, if the rating percentage is visible. Any errors in the browser console when you click the rating?

Might actually also be related to screen width.
On my super small 13 inch laptop a percentage of 73% is visible and thus rateable, but 64% is slightly wider apparantly, and not visible.

Only when the play now button it there too.

zooming out 10% makes it appear.

I think I made a topic about it years ago too, or on the old forums.

90% zoom:

items without a release date at added at all, are always unrateable.
(im not on the new search engine I’m pretty sure)

@lifeiscrazy I tried disabling my extensions, but no joy. Zooming doesn’t appear to affect my results at all either. Even tried refreshing after every zoom level.

What I did discover by trying in a private tab, is that it’s fine when I’m not logged in. If I log out in the main browser with all my extensions enabled, it works as well.

@justin Not sure what you mean by click the rating. The rating is missing, so nothing to click.
I tried clicking where it’s supposed to be, but nothing happens.
Clicking a visible TV rating works as intended.

Is there a movie only setting I’m overlooking that’s could be causing this?

If a movie is not released yet, the rating will be hidden to prevent early votes.

that’s so weird!!!

Did you already try resetting browser data? Long shot but ay, worth a try!

@justin It was with all movies. The one in my example was from 1988.

So someone did something there because I just logged back in and it’s working for the first time in a month (or longer). Don’t really care how or why, but it now appears to be fixed.

Cheers!

Yeah, I pushed a fix earlier today for this issue I referenced above. So that must’ve fixed it for you as well.
