I am a VIP and am being forced to V3 on desktop. Removing app from the URL doesn’t work. Did I miss an announcement??
Seems to have been some browser caching issue on my end. Back to V2 for now.
@Hank Help please! What exactly did you do to fix your browser caching issue so that Trakt is usable again? I’m a 7 or 8 year VIP (can’t see that anymore), and my screen is a complete mess, my lists no longer display which items I’ve watched, etc.
VIP for 9 years, forced to use this garbage V3 now, where is the calendar? This is my guide to watching streaming shows. what have you people done? This is not usable anymore, it is completely useless. Where are my lists? I don’t care at all what other people have in their lists, I spent 9 years creating my lists and developing my calendars, this is horrifying, shame on you.
Thank you very much! That did the trick and now I can see the site properly.
I have the problem too. I delete the browser data in Chrome on Mac all.
Then I register again and I see V2.
I exit Chrome, restart Chrome and V3 is back. Bookmarks created are ignored and I am immediately and always directed to V3.
Same for me, I’m always redirected to V3.
And where are the guest actors for a show episode in this shitty new interface? I can only see the season regulars in each episode.
This is still happening, when I reopen the site after successfully logging in it always redirects to this url https://app.trakt.tv/?ref=trakt-og-autoredirect-non-vip-public
The only fix is to delete all cookies and session data, log back which takes me to v3 then visit https://trakt.tv/dashboard and I have a 50/50 chance I’ll get v2.
The sites getting worse, the v3 update doesn’t focus on any of the good things that made this site useful. At this rate I won’t be renewing my VIP subsctiption,
if it’s using the magic link it does that. log out then log in using https://trakt.tv/signin
once i signin with that it always goes to v2
Since V3 is going to be the default. How do I filter out stuff that is in my lists? I only see filters for watched and watchlist.
I also agree V3 looks really bad for desktop.
Thanks @otakunet21, that’s a more reliable way to get to v2.
As another example for what’s wrong with v3, I’ve opened the app.trakt.tv front page (not logged in) and seen a show that I would like to look at, I hover over the image get a the mouse pointer that indicates I’m hovering over a url or clickable item but when I click nothing happens .
Looking at the HTML source other than the login button and the apple/google store buttons every other clickable item on the page just links to the landing page - this is really bad UI design it just gives the impression the site is broken.
Pretty sure that’s intentional to make people sign up. Gives the impression there’s growth when the more interesting metric would be how many of those actually ever return.
