Witch Hat Atelier episode 2 is not available on Trakt although it is already aired

Anime aired today with 2 episodes, however only episode 1 is available on Trakt to mark as watched, episode 2 is said to air next week but it aired today

Trakt uses TMDB and they follow TV broadcast (episode 2 was released early on streamers). The problem is we used to be able to go ahead and mark episodes watched even if it had a future air date, but with this v3 we can’t which is ridiculous.
i know checking in ahead of the release date is possible in the iOS app, i dont know if android can yet but if its not they’re adding it soon. hopefully soon on the website too

Like another user already replied, this issue happens because TMDB uses the broadcast dates in Japan and episode 2 hasn’t aired there yet. We are currently studying a way to update the airdates for those shows that have this issue and once we do that, this kind of issue shouldn’t happen again.
