There are some scenarios where JustWatch data doesn’t match Trakt. I’ve just reported myself 15 titles that were showing up as available on Netflix despite the fact that they have been removed from their library weeks (or even months) ago. Those movies showing up as available were messing up my watchlist, filtered out by the streaming platforms I’m subscribed to (I was always bumping into “fake available” titles). The resolution of the reports were “Refresh JustWatch data”, which seem to fix the issues.
My suggestion is adding a “Refresh JustWatch Data” link below “Refresh TMDB data”, available for VIP members only, which would save moderators quite some trouble in refreshing JustWatch data.
Just wanted to come back with a feedback regarding the new “Refresh JustWatch” link. Works perfectly, I fixed myself a couple of titles already! It only takes a couple of minutes (if not seconds) for the changes to be propagated from JustWatch to Trakt.
Not the same for the app tho. Changes don’t seem to be reflected in the app, even tho they show up correctly on the website. @justin, is there something that can be done for the API to also have the data refreshed in the app? I guess it’s some caching in place here as well.
