Already watched episodes are NOT being skipped by Scrobber

I have put a lot of time and effort to get rid of the episodes repeated in my watch History… I do not want them there to mess up with my watched history data.

I finally have less than 20 pages of episodes with 2+ plays, so it’s more noticeable when the number goes up after my data is scrobbled.

I have disabled multiple plays in my settings, so why am I getting repeat episode plays added to my history?

Please provide a few examples so I can take a look. My initial guess is the timestamps aren’t an exact match which is why it’s allowing the additional plays. I can check for sure with some examples.

I finally had all the repeat plays removed from my history… which took me a while.

  • Possibly idea… make it easier to remove repeat plays. I went by every episode/season/show one by one.

But this Scrobble causes multiple plays to show up in my history again today. I left it there for now

Previous repeat plays came from this scrobble… but they have already been removed.

It had 215 episodes, but only a few remain

  • Only 2 episodes went from 2 plays to 3 plays… the rest did not originally have multiple plays.

And the time stamp from today’s episode repeat play are not the same…. But I am not understanding why there are multiple plays showing up.

I figured out the check box in settings… my understanding is that as long the episode does not already have multiple plays, then the most recent time capture would replace the older time capture

Unless I misunderstood something

Now I have more for you… went from 1 episode with 2 plays to 5 pages with multiple plays.

Most likely from the following Amazon Prime and Netflix syncs.

  • There are even multiple plays on each sync list

Few episodes

I removed all the multiple plays again and scrobbled the full histories of everything again.

While new episodes were being added again, I do not see any repeat plays when I look.

I am now just trying to figure out why I have 2 more plays than I have episodes. :woman_shrugging:

Received a bunch of repeat plays again from the scrobbler again. Again from Prime and Netflix

Are you manually pushing the sync button? If so, are you choosing “all data” or “only new data”?

I pressed the all data button. I always have a bunch of unknown skipped episodes that I try to see if they will show up.

  • Sometimes, it seems like new episodes are being captured by the all data scrobbler

I also speed watch tv online, so when something has not previously appeared in a recent Scrobble, I try for All Data.

  • Unless I already captured the episodes myself that is
