I just came across the fact that you can request an export from Amazon of your purchase history, which I’ve done for my Prime Video purchases. It seems like it will be sent as a CSV, so I’m wondering how I can go about taking that data and importing it into my collection here on Trakt. I know there are things that I’ve purchased that I’ve forgotten to mark as collected, and it would be nice to be able to easily cross-reference things I see on sale with my collection status on Trakt, if it were up to date. I know that I’ve ended up buying duplicates in the past because there can be multiple versions of a movie (not just standard vs bonus or HD vs UHD, but literally the exact same content just listed more than once… most frequently, I’ve seen this when it’s something that’s been offered via one of the subscription channels, but I’m not certain that that’s the only scenario in which it occurs). In any case, I can’t rely on Amazon to indicate that I’ve bought a video before, while I can count on them to do so for Kindle books.
If there’s no native functionality, I believe that I’ve seen references to Trakt having a public API. If there’s a Python or Ruby module for this, I’d be perfectly happy with writing a script to handle the import myself.
