App Feedback: UI Improvements, Missing Friends' Watchlists, Search Filters, and Legacy Stats

Short description of the issue

  • UI/UX feedback regarding the mobile app and web interface, including unclickable-looking buttons, missing friends’ watchlists, lack of sorting/filtering on the search screen, and missing legacy stats.

Detailed description with additional context about the workflow

  • Unclear Movie Info Button: On the movie page, the “i” button (which shows more detailed data for the movie) does not look like a clickable element. It needs better visual feedback to indicate it’s an interactive button.

  • Missing Watchlist on Friends’ Profiles: When we visit a friend’s profile, we cannot see their watchlist; only their custom lists are visible. However, other third-party apps using the Trakt API can display these watchlists properly. This feature should definitely be natively visible within the official app.

  • Missing Filtering & Sorting on Search Screen: The Search page is the only place where we can view all movies and TV shows on a single screen, yet it completely lacks sorting and filtering options. This is a must-have. While the Discover page has separate sections like Trending, Anticipated, and Popular, having them split up makes the UX clunky and less useful. Instead, we should be able to see all content on one unified screen (like the Search page) and choose our preferred sorting method via a single filter button.

  • Missing Legacy Stats: A major downside of the new interface is the absence of all-time stats (such as total watch time, most-watched genres, etc.) that were available in the legacy UI. These stats are heavily missed and should definitely be brought back as soon as possible.
