Seems that the auto setting does not really work all the time.
If system theme is set to light, it remains dark when I load the site for e.g.
screenshots?
I have never had issues with the themes.

Why are you bothering with your system settings?
Do you not know what “uses your system appearance setting” means?; how else would I demonstrate what the issue is?
There’s no point in calling it “Auto” if I have to manually change it.
I will have a potential fix out for this in the next website update.
