I checked the VIP section of my account and noted that the auto-renewal date is still the same. However, the paid up to date is two months beyond (as was promised to VIP subscribers for the December 2022 crash). If renewals are still processed on their original schedule, then how am I getting two additional months?

When you cancel. You will get the extra two months.
Because instead of until November 2023 you will then have vip until January 2024. For example. If you cancel now.
We’re not able to change the billing date at PayPal or Stripe, we can just extend the expiration date on our end. As @lifeiscrazy mentioned, you can cancel VIP then sign up again after the paid up (expiration) date.
You can safely cancel the subscription. You will receive a notification before you actually lose your VIP benefits.

No. Only if you miss the deadline for resubscribing.

If I cancel my VIP subscription and then renew it, do I still get old VIP membership discount (15/year like before) ?
If I lose the discount like forever, so I dont think cancel my VIP is a good idea.
