I visit trakt maybe once a week and every time I have to go through cloudflare captchas first to get to the site. They ask me to pick boats or bicycles or whatever on two pages of tiny images I can’t even see well, and then once more - maybe because I screw up the first time, I don’t know. Getting to a site shouldn’t be this tedious. I know other sites are protected by cloudflare and they don’t have these issues. Maybe something can be done about it?
What country are you in? Cloudflare is aggressive in certain countries where they detect a lot of threats or if they determine your computer has security threats. If you have a static IP address, we might be able to improve things, please email support that info.
I’m in Russia. But, as I said, I don’t have this experience with other sites using cloudflare.
I’ll contact support, thanks.
yeah that Russia probably is a red flag for them.
A lot of attackes and DDOS come from your country unfortunately and maybe your ISP is in blacklist for that reason. Are you at home or at work ? a static IP will help a lot!
At work where you have one NAT ip for the internet for hundreds of employees can trigger the cloudflare.
Me at home never had the captcha, at work i have it almost 50% of the time.
And yes it is stupid, i mean always bicycles ?!?!? what is with that ??? and they are very tiny and i think only a robot AI can solve this not a human eye.
I’m at home with a static IP.
We’d like to try out a new feature: Privacy Pass Extensions
- Chrome: Privacy Pass - Chrome Web Store
- Firefox: Privacy Pass – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)
We’d love feedback as to how this works for you.
Used it for a couple of years now - has always worked fine for me, when I use it.
I think that CloudFlare has gotten more stringent in Russia and China, and they’ve limited the length of time between verifications.
I don’t think that Canada and the US have the same restrictions.
Damn politics!
Country ?
are you using a VPN ? trying to reboot the router and get a new public IP ?
Maybe it is an aftermath from the Cloudflare disaster
I haven’t notice anything new or strange like that for me in Greece (using multiple computers and IPs)
i assume you try without a VPN and in incognito mode ?
good that the classic workaround works.
Do you have any add-ons in your browser like adblockers and stuff. Start by disabling one by one and trying. Also go full nuclear clear cache & cookies and stuff.
Annoying for me too. iPad using Chrome browser with a VPN getting frequent Cloudflare checking human screens for the last couple of weeks. New wrinkle started last night: refreshing dashboard (Trakt.tv/dashboardj now shows a blank screen. Workaround is to go to Trakt.tv and the checking human comes up then redirects to the dashboard.
