Doh! No aired episodes were found to watch

I cannot add to history for https://trakt.tv/shows/the-victims-game/seasons/2 , it say “Doh! No aired episodes were found to watch.”.

Same as https://trakt.tv/shows/squid-game/seasons/2

However i can added it to collection, but the season 2 still not complete and it still show under progress right?

This worked for me, I just added one episode to my watch history and it worked fine. Have you cleared your cookies and cache and tried again?

I also tested this and it worked.

Have you already hit the reset data button in settings? (Don’t worry, no data will be removed)

https://trakt.tv/settings/advanced

Still not work, already clear all history still same.

Tested with Edge works fine, Chrome not.

Similar issue for SAS: Rogue Heroes Season 2 - Trakt

I can add episodes to my collection but the series page still shows as uncollected.

They all worked for me in Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Opera/Vivaldi/Brave.

Sign in to Trakt - Trakt clear your data like @lifeiscrazy said above.

Nope. Cleared data and cache. Still the same. Cleared collected date on episodes and tried again still same result.

I can collect individual episodes but that still leaves the main Collection as uncollected.

On main series page for SAS Rogues it will show 12/6 collected. On Season 2 it shows zero collected but the individual episodes are marked.

Probably has to do with local streaming availability I’d guess. While the series’ season 2 is available on BBC’s iPlayer today, it’s not available locally on streaming services until January 12th.

I did, still same.

Yes, now after checked again all browser not working again.

Seem like i need to reset data everytime after mark episode as watched. The error still appear for other title too, but after i reset data when i checked the episode list it already marked.

So need to reset reset reset each time after mark as watched, check my recorded video.

This sounds like some issue with your browser, a VPN, or ad blocker. Something seems to be breaking the site and affecting your data from properly being cached in the browser. You’re getting that error since the backend already knows you marked them watched, but your browser doesn’t have the data reflected.

Dang man, look at the bottom of your screen…it literally says “Caching your data”…after you click the “Add to History” button, go do something else and give the website (and backend) time to fulfil your request. This website deals with tons and tons of data every day (let alone avery hour or minute) that there’s no way it will be 100% instant to show on the front end.

I watched your video several times…I just don’t think you are being patient enough to let the website do it’s work. Here’s a video I took.

Also, your video verified you added that “Parole…” show to your history, because that notification at the top of your screen (it’s in a green color) said something like: “You watched 12 episodes of…(name of show)”.

I can’t speak to your original issues, as @justin said that sounds more like a different issue than what you posted about with the video.

Maybe it’s because you add a bunch in one go. I always track my episodes as I watch them so ive never had to mark whole seasons or shows as watched.

I imagine that’s the biggest issue and sounds like a you-problem combined with lack of patience as described above :woman_shrugging:

I very much think it’s the user-problem because he’s not being patient enough. When I get the (original) error he mentions in the title of this thread “Doh! No aired episodes were found to watch”, it’s because I have already marked that show as watch and I accidentally clicked “Add to History” again…so the error is correct…because since I already marked it all as watched, obviously there are no more episodes to mark as watched.

Does that make sense? The error is correct and the original poster just isn’t giving the website enough time to do all the processing and “round-tripping” the results to the front end (by visually changing everything like the buttons to purple with watch count numbers, etc…).

His video actually proves the site is working properly.

Could be, but it also could be a browser error caused by a VPN, Ad blocker, or other extension as well. @uniquerelease any red errors in the browser console when you’re seeing this “doh” error?

@justin I have re-created his issue in the below video, just follow my cursor:

I believe the user is wanting instant gratification but us longer term users of trakt know that it can take sometimes up to about a minute to “sync” the cache with the backend and then back to the front.

I changed “Watched Progress” auto refresh to “No, I’ll refresh the next episode myself” and now it’s working.

Before this i set to auto refresh.

I’m lazy to argue, at the end they will pointed end user as a problem.

Not sure what function auto refresh available there if the website cannot provide it, i used TvTime and SimKL too and all can instant update. In the same time, before this i set watched progress as“No, I’ll refresh the next episode myself”, after changed to auto it not work. So that’s why i asked here why it wont auto refresh even already set to auto refresh. I never know the website need time to display the output since i used other website they can instant update (well maybe someone will reply “yes you can use another website then”).

I’ve used TVTime too, and no, they do not update instantly either. I’ve never used the other service you mentioned.

I don’t think you should use another service/website. I just think you are having trouble admitting your wrong. I’m a web developer, and transactions like these are NEVER instant. You are saving data to a database…so that transaction has to take a round trip. Most website do these with a page refresh but Trakt does it in a way that we “use to call” Ajax so the page doesn’t refresh and they indicate that with the “Caching your data” message at the bottom.

Sure, I am sure they could find a way to speed this up so that it doesn’t take 30 seconds to almost a full minute to show on the front end. I’m sure @justin will be looking into that as well.
