Imported history recovered with wrong watch counts

Hi there,

I’ve used the import feature that you built to recover lost watched history, and I found strange the number of items that it said that it was going to recover (more than 44k), but I was confused and did it anyway.

However, some episodes from some shows have more play counts that it should:

This is just one example, but many episodes (not all of them) have these high play counts. And so far I’ve noticed this for 2 shows (Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball), and there might be others, but there’s more than 3k pages of play counts in my history…

I’m guessing this will skew a lot of my states, so, is there anything that you can do on your side to fix this?

Can it be that an app went rogue?

I don’t think so. These have been watched back in 2013, and I don’t even have the episodes any more anywhere, no app that I use as knowledge about this show/episodes.

Besides, and like I said in OP, the Trakt import tool for the recovered data showed more than 44000 items to recover, and I didn’t watch that much stuff in the days that Trakt’s DB was down

The app Showly 2 added all those duplicates to your account, looks like they have a major bug with their app. I recommend opening a support ticket and ask us to de-dupe your account. This will reduce all item to having only 1 play each.

Well, never mind, I just used the Web app to remove all plays, and added them back again. Thanks.

Is that publicly tracked somewhere? Can you point me in the right direction?

We don’t have the app publicly no, but we can use it for support purposes. Glad you were able to clean it up.
