Perhaps people are slightly confused about what the watchlist is. It is not shows you are currently watching or have progress in, those are not necessarily part of any list. Watchlist is just for shows and movies you plan to watch.
Personally I think it is not completely unreasonable to limit this specific list to 100 items, since 100 shows you might watch is a pretty large number. The collection however i think is a bit of a stab in the back, especially for users that have been using Trakt for many years and have filled this collection over time.
A watchlist can be curated, but a collection is a collection. I think the extra limits for years on Trakt should increase the limit of the collection. No one really needs 10 lists, and people can curate a list of things they might possibly watch to 100, but suddenly limiting the collection is petty and certainly not worthy of being called a VIP feature
I donât really care what you think lol. People made the app popular to the point that they could charge for features, there were plenty of features they could charge for that wouldnât impact existing users and yet they chose something they knew would inconvenience many. It is a cashgrab nothing more.
It isnât about telling someone how to run a company, itâs about reducing functionality in the name of profit and the continued widespread enshittification of the internet.
Youâll need to get down below 100 total to add more. Also, it doesnât matter that youâve added single episodes of shows to your watch list but I noticed youâve got some mid-season episodes added that you can remove.
These could all be removed from the watchlist if youâve already started watching one episode of the show (which for Bosch you have, so you can remove it). I know this is only 4 items and wonât help get you below 100 but itâs a start in the right direction.
In general, itâs best to add the show itself to your watchlist and not individual episodes so you donât over bloat your list. Anything in your Progress/History doesnât count against your watchlist and they will always show up in the Up Next section so you donât need to keep adding them back to your watchlist.
i literally checked your watchlist. you have the number of movies i stated. and that screenshot shows individual episodes you have added. you probably have a filter set to show only tv shows. thereâs a selection at the top left to show only movies, shows, seasons, or episodes.
All these shows i have removed my end coz they no longer run, like Bosch is now onto Bosch Legacy, Power ended ages ago so should of been removed as well as the others but thanks for the heads up about the movie watchlist as ive just deleted them which should help. Is there any reason some old shows are still showing in my watch list even tho ive deleted them
did you delete the watch history or the item from the watchlist? you may have added them back at some point to the watchlist but as long as youâve got one episode marked as watched it will remove the show from the watchlist and put it on the Progress/Up Next section. at that point they no longer need to be on the watchlist but it can be easy to accidentally add the show, a season, or an episode to your watchlist. iâve done it before many times on accident
to remove anything from your watchlist, go to the watchlist itself, click manage at the top and then you can click the X on each item you want to delete.
OK, watchlist is now clear. Although I still will have a lot more on my watchlist than 100 shows if the collection-feature is not unlimited. I now get that the shows I have collected, and or watched (at least 1 episode) do not have to be on the watchlist, they will automatically be tracked. Once more, lift the cab on Collections.
You can though. Lists arenât the exclusive way to track how you watch. You have other ways like the calendar and the progress page.
No you cannot. For some show to to be available in the calendar you have to have the show in your watchlist, partially watched (progress) or collected. Both collection and watchlist are limited to 100 shows. You canât create a list to add shows you are planning to watch, but not yet own.
