Firefox Cannot Login on Website

The extension page says 0.8 is the latest. (JS Restrictor was rebranded to JShelter)

JShelter – Get this Extension for  Firefox (en-US) (mozilla.org)

Well updated and it’s still throwing the warning. :man_shrugging: Also added screengrab showing the APIs that apparently are active on this site that are fingerprinting, assuming I understand the copy associated with it.

Hey I figured out what it is, but am still unsure why jShelter is picking it up. Stripe’s JS sdk is triggering it for some unknown reason. I verified this by using uBlock Origin and adding stripe.com to the filter list. I’m guessing this issue is related and am following to see if they can explain why Stripe trips jShelter.

For what it’s worth, the devs here are Justin and I on the web platform with Tyson working on the mobile apps. None of us are interested in where you personally are or any other personal details. All we’re trying to do is make a great platform for tv/movie nerds. I understand the propensity to not trust online platforms into turning you into the product, rather than receiving a product, but that’s just not what we’re about. Yes, we advertise on our site to monetize non VIP traffic, but that’s the extent to which we’re comfortable. Other than that, frankly, our focus is on upselling to VIP. That is what truly funds Trakt, almost in it’s entirety. So thank you for being a VIP and having some patience while we figure this out.
