Next time there is an app update, I have a suggestion. In the continue watching section, it would be nice if shows that are hidden do not show up there. Maybe 2 months ago it was like that, but then the app updated.

The legacy feature “hide” has been discontinued. All of those shows need to be moved to “dropped” now.
If you go to this section, there should be a button there to drop all hidden shows:

If I drop shows that I did not finish the series, do I lose the tracking of the episodes I did watch?

No, your episodes will still be in your history. And if you watch an episode of that show, it will be removed from your dropped list automatically.
