I'm gonna miss the social aspect of trakt

I like commenting and reading the comments on something I just watched.

That’s why I can’t easily replace it.

Yeah, I’d actually love more social features. (As opposed to a streaming scrobbler).

It is what it is :frowning:

I don’t think Letterboxd will be a great fit for all Trakt users, but I think they will provide a solid social experience for TV watchers when they ship.

Yep. So many more people commenting and interacting on Letterboxd than on Trakt.

That’s the thing that hurts the most for me, the community here always was the nicest, and even though alternatives work great, they often lack that. But now they successfully destroyed the userbase. :frowning:

But Letterboxd is more like blogging and iMDB reviews, right? I prefer quick comments.

Many don’t review at all. Some just leverage tags and lists. You can use it however you like!

Again, not a 1:1 to Trakt, but for some people who just want a diary of what they’ve watched, it will probably fit the bill.

Yeah I’m really gonna miss it. Letterboxd still doesn’t support shows, Simkl doesn’t support rewatches (deal breaker for me) so I’m now using Yamtrack which being a self hosted tracker, there’s no one to communicate with.
