I reported some OVA’s that had been added as (individual) episodes.
multi-part OVA’s should be added to the TV section as per the contribution bible.
OVAs
Standalone OVA series are added as TV entries with blank Network fields and “Video” as their TV Show Type.
Standalone single-episode OVAs are added as one movie entry.
Single-episode OVAs that are considered to be additional content to a previously released anime series (e.g. bonus episodes, short side stories) should be added to the matching show’s special.
We’re still working on the guidelines for non-standalone OVA series. We will figure them out soon.
However, they don’t just delete the movie page, they merge it with the tv entry… however that’s been going on for like… 4 years at least. I don’t know if it’ll ever happen at this point… So, since new ones aren’t allowed either (and should not be added, but maybe if some retard does it and there’s just one interaction with the page… they keep it nonetheless for the merge that may or may not ever happen) , I’d like them to be removed from Trakt and blocked from re-adding.
No, we don’t have replies on reports. That could be a good idea though, but I’d also need to add some sort of email notifications to know when a report status has changed.
When we merge, all data is moved to the correct entry so that technically allows the item to just be re-imported from TMDB. So in that case, we’d need to merge, re-import, then hide that re-imported item. So it is technically possible for us to do this if TMDB isn’t removing the entry in a timely manner.
That’s indeed the case. They’ve just been adding entries to a “master list of movies entries to be merged into their TV counterpart” since 2018 I think. Also the content from the long standing miniseries can also be added as movies exception too which has been lifted in 2016 or 2017 I think… so there’s lots of duplicated content. They made one list at the beginning when discussing the exception internally, and that was right away deleted when publishing it you know. But then afterward nothing happened except creating a new (not-public) list.
I just gotta say I saw that Murder Princess has been merged and it looks fantastic ;D (I originally marked all those movies as watched, and the timestamps and everything all merged over correctly (I assume ;-)) to the tv entry now. Wonderful!
Thanks for handling it all so fast guys!
