Is there a way to prevent shows from automatically un-dropping (returning to Up-Next/Progress) when you watch them again?

Use-Case:

There are shows I watch every week that I don’t want displayed in Up-Next/Progress

I’ve hidden these shows from my calendar and dropped them to remove them from Up-Next/Progress - but when I watch them again after dropping them they automatically un-drop (return to Up-Next/Progress)
