My "previously aired" is unusuable slow

https://trakt.tv/users/blueboybob/progress/watched/previously-aired

The page rarely loads. Almost impossible to mark a show watched. I have to refresh multiple times and hope for it work

The issue is having over 1,000 shows and that’s why it’s slow to load.

These are all shows I’ve seen or am actively watching. So what should I do? Is this site really only “trakt some TV”

You can hide shows that you have seen and are not currently watching. Click the Ø button next to a show to hide it. You can always go to https://trakt.tv/settings/hidden to view hidden or to unhide items.

Ive done that to help, problem is if any of those shows “come back” they are now hidden and I won’t know about new episodes.

Example is new quantum leap. Will that be a new show or a new season. If a new season it wont show up on my “to watch” as it is hidden. So I have to hope I dont hide something that will come back

The progress page is very complex and it needs to calculate a lot of data, then apply your sorting and filtering to it. The data gets cached, which is why you are seeing it load better on subsequent tries.

They would still display on your calendar and the dashboard upcoming schedule. Hiding from progress is separate from hiding on the the calendar.

This will most likely be a brand new show, that is how TMDB seems to handle it (and I agree with that approach).

OK so I have “hidden” all shows I am not actively watching and it still doesnt load. So that did not solve the problem.

The progress page is loading fine for me, what error are you getting? A screenshot might help too.

Perhaps a browser data reset might help… https://trakt.tv/settings/advanced as it is now loading fine for me as well.

Here is the console error

Can’t really screenshot an unloaded page. It just doesnt load sometimes.

cleared cache, still happening. as you can see in this image the page stopped loading, for example the jeopardy thumbnail and all the shows below it

Strange, I’ve never seen that error before. So it’s more of a browser issue your seeing and not server side related to the number of shows.

Can you try a private browser window and see if that loads? I’m curious if there is a browser extension that is breaking the site.

same thing

My posts keep getting removed as spam. So not sure I can link the screenshot, but it also happens incognito

The system was flagging them, I restored the posts. I really don’t have an answer to this yet. The tab isn’t loading in the background, so that doesn’t make sense for it to throw that error. Is this a beta browser version? If so, does the release version of Chrome work? Or another browser? Just trying to determine if this is something specific to this browser and version.

Personally I am using Firefox 101.0 (64-bit), and Chrome, when I open it in Chrome it is still working. I am running Chrome Version 102.0.5005.63 (Official Build) (64-bit).

OK so it works
FIrefox this computer
Chrome a different computer

I am using Version 102.0.5005.63 (Official Build) (64-bit) on this computer
it doesnt work

I lied. After trying to actually check some shows and reloading firefox also doesnt work.

That last script is something to do with Cloudflare, which we use to deliver the site worldwide. It’s just a warning though, so not sure that is the cause.

I hid “Jeopardy!” and things seem to be working (I will report back if that changes).

Maybe that show just has too many episodes.
