This thread was titled ‘New VIP feature’, but veered off subject.
It’s getting late here, so the short answer is the tvOS integration, and beta program. There is no good alternative that achieves what Trakt now does with the Apple TV - and I can assure you, I’ve tried them all. Including clunky, hybrid solutions.
There are other, smaller things - but that’s the game changer for me, and a valuable proposition.
What is the price increase? I don’t believe I’ve seen an email about this. I’m a paid subscriber…

on here telling me I’m paying 100% extra next year for VIP.

not everybody got the emails unfortunately. i still don’t have one, possibly due to me changing my email address a few times since the initial signup. perhaps mine was sent to the original email which, if it was my live.com email, i deleted it almost a year ago. luckily im on the forums every day, but also ive been paying $60 since 2022 after their server crash issue
As I have pointed out many times there is likely a majority that will not express their displeasure, they simply leave. They will leave the VIP ranks and maybe use whatever free perks are left after the purge. With the staggered enrollment of VIP users and the annual length they will likely be seeing the fallout of us VIP users leaving for up to 2 years or more. With these users expressing their displeasure for Trakt and talking up the alternatives new VIP enrollments will probably plummet.
