Previously watched show reappears in up 'Up Next'

I’ve been watching a show that has been running since 1960 (no I’m not that old lol).

Even though all the episodes up to the present are marked as watched (for tidiness sake even though I’ve only been watching for the last few years) some rogue episodes, every once in a while, appear in the ‘Up Next’ section as if they’ve never been marked as watched.

This week, it was 6 episodes from a season that originally aired in the mid 1970’s. So I’ve marked them as watched again at release date, and they’ve disappeared from the list.

Problem is, this is the 5th time this has happened now. It’s never the same episodes, but a few from the far past eg 1970’s seem to get unmarked every once in a while and I have to mark them as watched again.

I’ve tried resetting my data and my progress data to no avail.

Is this happening to anyone else with any of their shows? The site seems very buggy lately.

Looks like someone is adding a lot of episodes to older seasons over in TMDB. You can look at changes at the show level and season level.

I know this is marked “Solved” but this happens to me all the time. Like Logan said, a lot of the time it’s someone adding shows on TMDB or making modifications big enough that Trakt thinks they are new or not watched episodes.

Other times though…it seems or feels like Trakt will do a random purge of data.
