My VIP subscription is set to expire on September 11th. I would like to confirm if the renewal fee is still $30 per year. However, when I click on “renew VIP,” it shows $60 per year. Additionally, my credit card has expired, which is why I canceled the auto-renewal option last year. I have now received a new credit card and would like to set up the auto-renewal for $30 per year.
I subbed to the VIP tier in June of 2023, but had to cancel, due to some money issues during the summer that I don’t really wanna get into right now.
Finally cleared everything and was hoping to sign up to the service tomorrow (new cheque date) and keep it from now on.
The new price, however, is a little steep for me (and I missed the deadline announcement too…
Been with the website for quite a while and would love the chance to sub to the $30 tier once again if I could, but if not, at least I get to enjoy the website as it is.
I love Trakt and have no issue with paying for software to support it at the right price (have been a VIP for years).
I left auto renew off and its now $60, I could contact support to get that fixed, but things are a bit tighter this year and really the only reason I have VIP is to get no ads and support you guys.
Maybe you should consider a tier that is just ad free for $20-25 a year?
Have bought it since 2020 for 30$. Don’t like to have auto renew on stuff and rather do it manually every year and now would have to pay 60$. Sadly way too much, 30$ I could pay.
Well shoot…just discovered Trakt and could really use the Plex scrobbling feature…but there’s no shot I can justify $60/year when that’s my only major use case. I get that everyone gets their own value out of it, just chiming in my 2 cents that seems super steep. Wish there were some sale and/or other tier options
I rarely watch movies and TV shows. Still subscribed to Trakt VIP for 3 years to support the development of Trakt, because I think it is an amazing site.
Sadly, I let my subscription expire, both due to financial reasons and because I didn’t watch anything since January. I recently came back and noticed the hefty price increase, at this point it’s unfortunately no longer worth it. No way I’m spending $60 a year for the few movies or TV shows I watch every year. Also, not a huge fan of the rebranding
