Reaordering the list entries

,

Short description of the issue

  • Since the UI changed, I can no longer reorder the entries in my list on my iOS app. I use the lists feature to choose which series or films we are most excited to see, and also to compile my top 100 series and films lists.

  • Is there something I have missed on the app that allows me to do this?

  • I can see on the web app I can reorder but it’s not that convenient when you are trying to reorder on the fly.

So far this seems to be by design. See all the posts regarding the V3 updates.

I’m positive this will be brought back, I see no reason why not

Does anyone from Trakt reply?

I really hope so. I can handle the UI changes, but the list reordering is a big reason I use Trakt.

It seems such a simple thing to implement.

By design? Why would they make it worse? I don’t get it.

I can see everyone losing their minds over the redesign but not seen much on list reordering.

Fair. I guess we sit and wait. Thanks for responding

Yep, we do :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: And you can always also comment on the GitHub issues to show your need for these features

Based on what? Their track record is to thus far ignore all feedback and follow whatever plan it is that they have yet to fully share….so I don’t understand why you are “positive.” The only thing I am positive of is that they are dead set on turning this into a dumpster fire because of an ego or two and are happy to leave us w/ non-functioning crap. If they cared, they would rid themselves of any notions of the sunk cost fallacy, backtrack on this terrible path, and work w/ the community to improve the EXISTING features and code base.

I’m personally tired of obtuse responses to filed issues that the person responding to and closing knows full well what is being asked for. Then being made to jump through another hoop to only be told no again. They seem hell bent on telling us what we need and don’t need and how and how not to supposedly use the feature set that we have available to us already. That’s not at all the experience I paid money for. The final straw is ripping apart the Library as we know it on the basis that “we’re using it wrong.” That’s just garbage.

That doesn’t matter either unless it’s clearly a bug in the V3 interface, they don’t care. That is the take away I have from filing issues.

Not the takeaway I have, many of mine have actually already been addressed and fixed, and many others are planned :man_shrugging:

Mind pointing me to the issue that “they don’t care about”?

Still a long way to go but based on the many things that have been changed and improved, that’s just not true

I assume you mean changed within the new V3 version over how it was originally released? Or do you mean improvements from V2 to V3? If the latter I’d really love to see you cite one single item that is more user friendly with the new version compared to what we had before.

I was referring to changes made to v3

The multiple places they have been dismissive or willfully obtuse in here but in particular in the GH issues. Literally ignoring all feedback and still deciding they are going to break features that are used by paying customers regardless of the feedback they are receiving. IDK about you, but if someone doesn’t listen and does what they want anyway regardless of the impacts it has on others, it sends no other message but a lack of care.

100% true in my experience so far.

Glazing a pile of dung does not change what it is. V3 is still fundamentally broken for anyone who was a user of V2.

Then give me concrete examples of those ignored GitHub issues, I have a ton of issues that have been successfully addressed so far.

GH search works last I knew.
