I use Trakt mainly for two reasons. First, to keep a clear and centralized track of the TV shows and movies I watch, regardless of the platform. This cross-platform tracking is, in my opinion, one of the app’s biggest strengths.
Second, I rely heavily on Trakt to create personalized lists, especially rankings like a “Top 100 TV Shows,” where I organize each title based on my personal appreciation, from #1 to #100. These lists are extremely useful when I’m discussing series with colleagues or sharing recommendations with friends.
That’s why I’m particularly disappointed with some of the recent changes. I’ve explored most of the list editing features in depth because they are central to how I use the app. However, it is now impossible to properly rank, reorder, or fine-tune the position of shows within a list as easily as before. I just don’t get why you’ve remove this feature?
The same issue applies to certain customization options on the iOS app, such as icon selection on the main page, which seems to have been reduced or simplified.
In my opinion, the strength of an app like Trakt lies in its ability to let users personalize their experience in an intuitive way. Losing or limiting these features directly takes away from what made the app so powerful and enjoyable to use.
Which is especially unfortunate, considering how much the overall look and design of the app have improved. The new interface is clean and modern and it’s a great step forward. I’m simply asking to bring back the previous features alongside this new design. Combining the improved look with the original level of customization would make the experience truly outstanding.
