Is it more logical to have two lists for hidden items… I sometimes just want to hide a show from the UP NEXT section (paused watching or too many shows in there) but I don’t want to remove it from the WATCHED PROGRESS and totally forget it exists.

Good idea, but these sections are essentially the same code behind the scenes which is why hidden items are shared across the up next, progress, and across the web and mobile apps.
There are some other suggestions about ways to auto unhide items when a new seasons premieres. I plan to look into that in the future.
I was just doing a clean up of my hidden items and I would also like to have functionality to hide shows from my Up Next section but not hide them from the Progress section. One way I was doing it was hiding individual seasons but that gets a bit messy or clogged in the hidden section. I know the stats are still tracked but I’d like to have the shows visible in the progress still without having to hide seasons of shows so they don’t appear in my up next. Or like others have mentioned before, maybe add a dropped/abandoned setting for a show to remove it from the up next and not progress
