Stop limiting the collection-list for Free users

Right now I am using the list as they are intented.
Collection: I mark a show’s episode as part of my collection if I have it in a digital or physical form. I remove it from my collection as soon as I have watched an episode.
Watchlist: Shows I need to keep an eye on, that are not in my collection or on my progress (watched).
Lists (public/Private): different purposes. I couldn’t care less if these are limited or not.
So, I can fairly say I use the functionality correctly now. However the collection limitation has made Trakt useless for me, because I have a collection of more than a hundred shows.
Do not tell me I am using Trakt wrong. We all have our own purpose. I use only Trakt-app and Trakt-website, no intergration with any other apps like Kodi.

Tell me, what does a collection mean (or is meant to mean by Trakt)?

This is how Trakt describes it:

Trakt helps keep a complete collection of every TV show and movie you own digitally or physically (Blu-ray, DVD, HD DVD, VHS, LaserDisc, etc) and have available to watch.

Sounds like viewing movies/shows is an integral part of your life. With such an extensive collection you are more of a power user of Trakt. Although I use the system in a different way, and don’t need the higher limits, I spend less than 17 cents per day (USD $60/yr) for this app which is very important to me. I feel that the media watching related subscriptions I pay for are much less in costs than some of my alternatives.

Exactly, so according to trakt I cannot collect more than a hundred shows to watch eventually. Unless I pay a fee of $60,00 a year. Only to administer my collection and follow my viewing progress. All the other feature I do not use, and I do not intend to start using.

I think the donation thing would have been more palatable for the users, but I’m guessing TPTB at Trakt would like a more stable flow of necessary funds.

Oh, forgive me, Rockefeller! How foolish of me to think that my modest little decision to not buy something could possibly ruffle the feathers of someone of your towering wealth and importance. I’ll try to be more considerate of your delicate billionaire sensibilities next time.

Hi im stuck my trakt syncs no bother but when i try to add movies or tv shows it will not let me anymore any help thanks

reverenda estupidez esa de limitar casi todo a 100 titulos, parece que su intencion es alejar a los usuarios…

Thanks Terry. I thought it said “it’s stupid to post in an old thread that redirects people to the proper place to comment (complain) about the 100 item limits”. :joy:

My mistake, but same outcome 60 Bucks a year is too much to just administer my progress and collection. As said I have no need for all the other perks of the VIP-subscription.
Yes I have over 850 shows in my collection, it’s why it’s a “COLLECTION”.

Yes, I do own these shows, otherwise I would be adding them to my collection. So please tell me what do I do wrong in your opinion. Am I not allowed to have these many shows in my possesion?

You can afford to buy the physical/digital media of 850 shows, but you’re balking at $60 for trakt?

You realize there’s ways of collecting besides buying? And you realize there’s an enormous amount of free content that can be collected? And I am not referring to illegal piracy methods. Plenty of people use DVB Cards and record shows to their hdd.

Questioning someone owning 850+ shows or movies seems a little off. Especially when he was being called out and being told he’s doing it “wrong” when clearly he’s doing it “right”.

Yes, it’s value for money. What I do with Trakt, I do not value the price for a VIP account. Again this is up to me, and not yours to judge.

Having 850 TV shows/Movies is not really that large of a collection.

I have over 1200 films and 120 TV shows on DVD/blu-ray. Trakt’s new changes mean I can no longer use the collection service as intended.

It’s TV shows only, in this guys case. And I’m no longer questioning whether they’re owned or part of a correctly used collection.

I’d pose the same question to you, as well.

What question?

We live in Iran. My country is a boycott and we cannot pay. I was very happy about this site and my collection. I don’t know. I feel that we are not human and no one is paying attention to us.
