Has anyone been able to post anything in the Trakt Subreddit?
Did the mods turn it off for all or is it just me?

That is incorrect. They deleted all of the extra threads that were posting duplicate information repeatedly so that the subreddit could stay clean. There is a megathread stickied at the top of the subreddit to discuss the price hike. There’s no reason to have 100 posts about the same damn thing.

Here it is. A mod commented “ This post is now considered the megathread for all price increase information/discussion. All other posts will be removed.”

What the hell are you talking about? Nobody is trying to hide anything. It was the very first post in the subreddit regarding the price hike, it’s the one the overwhelming majority of the conversation was taking place in, so it got stickied. You can take the tinfoil off of your head.

Probably could have been a better named megathread (didn’t see Eyetwitch!) but nothing has been posted for over a day and two generic posts I attempted didn’t appear and are not in my profile posts list. I was successful in posting a comment to another post so it’s not a ban..

I replied to the mod post asking them to re-title it earlier today, but nothing yet.

Just for clarity, the post wasn’t named “Eye twitch” by Trakt. It was the title the original poster gave to the thread.

As someone that spends entirely too much time on Reddit, no one can rename the title of a post - not the user that submitted the post, nor the moderators for the subreddit. It’s a terrible title for sure, but there’s no way to change it.

Agreed. But there were multiple posts about the price increase that were identified as such in the title. And the mods chose to roll them all up in to one and make it a sticky that did not. I saw the “Eye Twitch” post, and did not realize what it was about until reading about in the Trakt forum. I’m sure others are the same.

Not saying it was intentional to bury the complaints in a post with an ambiguous title. But it was definitely a questionable choice.

100%. Of all the threads they chose to keep of the price hike, it was the one that doesn’t mention it in the title :smiley:

they’re not hiding anything, but it could use a megathread flair. it’s just that that was the most popular post about the price hike.

Yes, they are attempting to hiding it. They even deleted the post that they said they were going to leave open as a megathread at this point.

This is presumably the reddit mods though. It is odd that the reddit is getting censored whilst the official forum isn’t.

I’m not sure the deletion of the megathread was done by a mod. In looking at the post (using the link) the username has been deleted so this might have been done by the OP.

Looks like they have now deleted the mega thread. Going by the stats from the poll on another post here, they’re due to lose $18k in revenue (not accounting for grandfathered pricing). I suspect this could be more.

yes when the username area says deleted, the user deleted the post. the image is also gone which doesn’t happen when a mod removes a post (i literally just checked)
