Ultraman Plex vs. Ultraman Trakt: Series scrobbling is broken?

It would seem within the last month or so, classic Ultraman episodes won’t scrobble with Plex. TheTVDB has always treated Ultraman as one massive series and so did Trakt. But now Trakt is (rightfully) listing each Ultraman show separately. So, when I finish an episode of Ultraman 80, nothing happens on Trakt.

I do see that Ultraman 80 is listed separately on TheTVDB, but the episode titles are all blank.

Is there anything I can do on my end to make it work again?

Trakt only pulls metadata from tmdb now. That’s probably why you see it shown differently now. There’s no way around it now. You’ll probably have to go by how tmdb has it listed hence how it gets imported into trakt.

On Plex, you can choose the datasource of your library. If you change it to TMDB and list the show as they do, it should have no problems scrobbling.
