Hi, can’t seem to import the following
TVDB has this all listed as one, whereas TMDB has it all separate.
It’s missing either TVDB or IMDB ID.
I took a look. IMDB and TVDB list it as a single show but TMDB splits them up vs. seasons. TMDB will only allow a single ID (can’t reuse) so it wont show up. The only way to fix this is to get TMDB to merge them all.
I submitted reports on a few of them to see if it gets any traction. I suggest adding your comments/support to them.
TMDB has the series split into separate entries or seasons, while TVDB keeps it under one listing. That can definitely cause import problems. Hopefully support can add a better match option or manual selection for cases like this.

Unfortunately, Trakt put the ID restrictions in place to prevent duplicates. On TMDB is where the change needs to happen and they have not done it for American Idol. TMDB will not budge on things (not sure about this since it’s a new report) so the only recourse is to have Trakt remove the ID restrictions. This is not the only show this is happening to.
I created this post for trakt to remove it.
So TMDB responded and they are correct that the network has split these up. TVDB needs to split them (reported this but no idea if it will change).
