@kcador you promised that the team would do better. Is that how this should have been approached or handled? By applying straight up censorship and trying to hide the evidence?
Honestly, whatever little trust in this website’s management we had left, it’s now completely gone. No amount of promises or even the hinted at roadmap could remedy this disaster.
Just when I thought they couldn’t stoop any lower. The actions of the Trakt staff baffles me every day. What a bunch of cowards and no accountability whatsoever.
It’s crazy how they didn’t even try to sell the service. Trakt is the absolute best tracking service, arguably better than Simkl, a service commonly recommended that has a more expensive tier than Trakt.
Imo it is worth $60 based on the features and capabilities it offers. They could’ve ran with that with a lot more notice and communication and introduced tiers, but nope.
the old thread had over 900 replies. it was short of breaking 1k lol. i was close… my original guess day 1 from the original thread was that once 1k hit, they would shut it down and now it’s hidden lolllll. i should have screenshotted that response lol

Is it worth 60$ if you are just tracking your collection: no
And that is the problem they don’t see. And it will get harder and harder to sell more features that are unused at a higher price to users that would be perfectly happy with a smaller tier.
