Sad times.. how can you just double the price on your loyal customers.. I only ever paid the $30 because I liked your idea.. I hardly use the site.. my tracking is done elsewhere and syncs with trakt.. I’m not paying $60 for you to send me annual reports of what I watched.. sorry but I’ll be cancelling too..

What the hell, I’m definitely not paying 60€ per year for this. It is like 400% increase… What the hell…
And to be honest I mostly use this for calendar RSS, and keeping track what I watch, but mostly calendar to see when new shows are released. Don’t care about the app or anything, at least you should have design different tiers.
After 11 years I’m cancelling… 11 years!!!
Typical corporate wave the storm and backlash and it will be better. Probably also a way to improve numbers before selling th call and its data. The data is the real value!

I’ll be running my subscription out then. Your web front end has been consistently, reliably slow. I could put up with it for $30, you’ve never solved the issue - I’m not paying double when you can’t resolve ongoing issues.

Agreed, this is hard to swallow. Especially since I really don’t use any of the VIP features except for longer collections for Watchlist. I mainly got VIP for no-ads and to support Trakt, since I could have just used an ad-blocker but I like the simplicity of Trakt.
To play devils advocate, I could understand some increase, it was $30 when I registered in 2018 and inflation is real. I get Trakt’s cost have also gone up, but… doubling the pricing… that’s a lot; seems like more for some other people.
I have a year until renewal, since it just renewed, so I guess I’ll look at options. I like trakt, but I’m not sure the price-to-value is there now. Especially since most stuff in VIP doesn’t appeal to me.

Unfortunately I have to tone in with all the other replies here…
I used to love trakt. But recent decisions with the rebranding and focusing on new agendas that I’m not interested in do not justify a price increase of 100%!
Not to mention that everything else in life got more expensive but this is something I just can live without.

Well. As everyone else is saying, I’m so sorry but this is the end of the line.
I’ve been a trakt supporter for almost 10 years! And this is going to be my last one. I can’t justify 100% price increase. This is a TRACKING website, not Netflix. I like the service and I liked supporting it, but this is unjustified.
I guess the admins prefer losing some old time customers who helped build the service and for it to become what it is today. This is a disgusting decision that I can’t support.

I’d like to thank Trakt for looking after my economy. Just the other day they sent me an email recommending to cancel my Netflix subscription because I didn’t use it enough. Now they are saving me another 30$ a year! Thanks, guys!
Seriously though, 60$ a year, are they crazy? Did Elon Musk just buy the company or something?

It’s not even the amount of money. 60 a year is nothing in the grand scheme. But a 100% increase while thanking me for being a long time supporter with no new useful features announced is insulting. I don’t do business with people who insult me so brazenly.

I don’t really use Trakt much but for $30/year it was a “sure, why not, support the company” kind of thing.
$60 is too much. I’ve cancelled.

I’ve enjoyed supporting trakt a couple of years now and had plans on continuing. A price increase was expected and tbh $40 or even $50 would be fine / considered, but the 100% increase is just insulting your supporters.
