It’s not even the amount of money. 60 a year is nothing in the grand scheme. But a 100% increase while thanking me for being a long time supporter with no new useful features announced is insulting. I don’t do business with people who insult me so brazenly.

I don’t really use Trakt much but for $30/year it was a “sure, why not, support the company” kind of thing.
$60 is too much. I’ve cancelled.

I’ve enjoyed supporting trakt a couple of years now and had plans on continuing. A price increase was expected and tbh $40 or even $50 would be fine / considered, but the 100% increase is just insulting your supporters.

Just in time for my renewal in June… guess I’m canceling.
It doesn’t make sense to pay double what I’m currently using for what was basically a set and forget service for me…

I like how there isn’t even any doubt or hesitation for anyone. Most of us are probably aware how well Justin “listened” when he introduced the changes for free users.
We just know that it’s pointless to debate, instead it’s simply time to quit.

Wow, what a miscalculation. You’re about to lose 90% of your subscribers forever. No one will ever trust you again, so no amount of price rollback/apology is going to convince people to stay.

I used to love Trakt, but I feel they are now ruining it and burn the whole thing down.

That’s too bad. Been happy to support since 2014, but I can’t justify the price jump with the current VIP features. One less subscription I need to budget for.

Shame on you, Trakt. I supported you because you gave a good service. This is just too much. There must have been a calculation involved where they reckoned less than 50% would cancel the subscription so double the price made them break even or thereabouts.

just great… i’m going to have to re-read what is downgraded for free users again because i took my $30/yr for granted… will need to prepare myself to go down to free again… f-u-c-k. i want to support trakt, but this is killing it…
