I use Trakt everyday so it’s still worth it for me. To each their own.

I’m not here to bash you as you are getting enough of that I just want to respond to " * Fairness — Aligns all VIP members under the same pricing structure" It’s not quite fair that longtime supporters who enabled you to grow are treated no different then someone who joins for the first time today. This is a big mistake there are other choices for people to use.

I looked at the vip features list and I’m not even using 90% of the features. I was paying just for the support. After 9 years I’m done.
Looking for alternatives.

I really wish they’d offer a VIP and VIP+ tier. I only need bigger lists, Plex integration, and iCal links. The recaps are fun, but could sacrifice those. Would absolutely pay for just those features.

You did note that the previous post was in Canadian(?) dollars, not US, right?
i work in software, we have sent emails to all of our users detailing all of the extra features we have given them over the last 12 months in order to justify an 8% increase. i have not used any new feature in the 3 years ive been a VIP but now im expected to swallow a 50% price increase.
the worst thing is, the damage is done now, im sure everyone would have accepted a 10% bump, but now we all know we have to be looking over our shoulders for when Trakt decide they want to take everyones money, so seriously disappointing and an absolute kick for those that only subscribed to support the site.

A year of absolutely terrible rollouts of completely useless functions, plus a rebranding that made the site look like a Instagram knockoff, and actually removing valid data from users without any information (and never restoring it, or providing an alternate option, even though they promised to).
And now, as sugar on top, we get a 400% price increase? This site has gone from one of the best sites on the internet, to one of the very worst. I used to recommend this site, and now I will actively tell people to stay away. Well done.

Wow. Just started my 12th, and last, year as VIP.
I went VIP to support a service I used daily. However, I only really use;
- Auto tracking
- Plex scrobbling
- Advanced filtering
Definitely NOT worth $5pm!
This is pure money grab and I won’t be part of it - subscription cancelled!
A better business option than trying for $60 and getting $0, would have been to introduce different levels of subscription - allow people to pay for what they actually use.
Too late now for me!

Try Simkl, it’s pretty good, even has a lifetime vip but their free features are amazing too

OH AND ALSO. I use SeriesGuide on Android and pay their Dev for premium features. When I leave Trakt, you’ve now cost a 3rd-party dev their revenue as well. Absolutely absurd.

Please come to your senses.
Take away the unnecessary cost of Younify, a service I will never use because of privacy issues, and come back to a reasonable price.

Thanks very much for the tracking and pretty graphs but this amount of money is not worth the $60.
And on top of that dropping the legacy support is a double let-down.
IMO legacy pricing should be kept until the subscription is cancelled.
Oh well. More money to spend elsewhere
