On the Watchlist page: Trakt Web: Watchlist
Look for the “Default” button next to the “Watchlist” title.
Tap on it, you’ll get a list of possible sorting options. Currently: “Default”, “Date Added”, “Runtime”, “Rating”, “Release Date”. We are adding sorting options based on feedback. Tell us what you’re missing and we’ll add them to the priority list.
Thank you for the answer, but is already setting on “default”. With the change at v3, my “personal sorting” is missing, now all movies are scrambled and i can’t to do nothing… Years and years of organization thrown away in one second by Trakt… I wanna cry… :’c
Please reorder my movies like before the change at v3, i ask only this! Thanks.
I think what you are asking for is for them to bring back sort by Rank.
“Default” is using the Rank if you’ve set the List to be Ranked in V2.
Changing the rank is not available (yet) in V3.
Yes, but the problem is this: with v3 forced, my watchlist has become scrambled in “default” and i tried to change the sort order, but in “default” still scrambled… this problem it was created by Trakt and can be resolved by Trakt only.
“Default” is using the Rank if you’ve set the List to be Ranked in V2.
Sorry, but that’s not true. I had my Watchlist set as Ranked in V2, now it’s on “Default” in V3 but the order is completely different, not at all what I had in V2. If I should guess, looks like it’s now using “Date added” as “Default”. ![]()
I agree that “Default” seems to mirror/match “Date added”
In v2 I have my watchlist sorted by title to more easily parse franchises as they often have similar names. I’ve just reset the ranks to reflect the title sort order using the functionality in V2.
No dice in V3, the order didn’t change at all and is definitely not the rank…
Edit - Interestingly the order is correctly reflected in the iOS app which has the same filters/sort options as V3 ![]()
This is indeed another bug: Wrong default Watchlist sorting · Issue #1806 · trakt/trakt-web · GitHub
What a joke. You just said “the new experience now supports the core workflows most free users rely on.” So I guess changing the order of lists is somehow not a core workflow?
As I wrote in another thread earlier this week:
Oh, how wonderful! Another bug (that will perhaps be fixed one day) certifying that V3 was not at all ready to be (forcibly) imposed on thousands of users. Will someone ever admit that? ![]()
Also, I used to have in my Watchlist many Seasons. Now they are all gone and I guess they’ll never come back. So frustrating to see such a perfect service being completely ruined this way! ![]()
Interesting, seasons are visible in other lists but apparently not the watchlist in v3. I hope that’s just a bug as well and not somehow intended behavior. You wanna create that issue report on GitHub? I feel like all the issues with v3 we post in this forum get lost in the shuffle, on GitHub they have better visibility.
Thank you very much for the interesting observation about the seasons being visible in other lists; I hadn’t noticed it.
Well, to be honest, given how we’ve been treated as users lately, I have to admit I’m not sure I’m still willing to spend my time creating a GitHub account to file an issue report. Especially since the “roadmap” platform to report missing features is only accessible to VIPs, so regular users’ opinions clearly aren’t taken into account.
Almost a week after the announcement of the forced transition to V3, no one from management has bothered to address our concerns, let alone present a serious plan to fix a clearly broken product. How can we know our feedback will be listened to? What certainty do we have about the timeline and the actual commitment to addressing the dozens of reported issues?
If some sign of willingness to take the community’s feedback seriously and intervene to quickly bring Trakt back to a state even remotely comparable to that offered in V2 will emerge soon, then I might consider returning to contribute as an enthusiastic user. Until then, I unfortunately don’t think it’s worth it. I hope you understand.
