I use the VIP Automatic Backup feature to make a weekly backup of my Trakt data on every Sunday. However, at the storage location (OneDrive in my case) there is only a 2024 folder and the last backup in there is from 29-Dec-2024.
I miss the backup from 5-Jan-2025 and a 2025 folder.
Is the VIP Automatic Backup feature broken in 2025?
Can you set up another method and see if that works? I have another support ticket related to OneDrive, so I’m wondering if it’s specific to that service.
I have Google Drive and Dropbox setup and both are working correctly for me. The backup process is all the same, with the only different being the destination.
I have mines set up for daily backups on Dropbox and it’s working okay. Maybe try to disconnect and reconnect. Maybe the token for you was expired or revoked for some reason.
I still did not get any automatic backups. Today I manually created the 2025 folder as an experiment. Guess what? Now the daily backup did get created/saved!
So something wrong with OneDrive folder creation perhaps?
Sorry for the delay about this, but I can’t reproduce or see any issues when I investigate this. One thing to try, disconnect your Microsoft account then connect it again. I wonder if the permissions need to be refreshed and re-signing in will do that.
I’m having the same issue. So if @videntis and I are experiencing this plus you mentioned there was report through support, there is certainly something going wrong.
The strange thing is, it’s listed as if the backup succeeded (“The most recent backup was 19 Jan 2025 23:02”) but nothing in OneDrive.
I just reconnected my Microsoft account. I also turned on daily backups and that worked. Let’s see if it will do the weekly one tonight.
Lastly I’m also noticing that the “Save settings” (POST https://trakt.tv/settings) API call for the data page returns a 400 Bad Request (even though the settings seem to be saved)
