The forums used to be a VIP only feature. I’ve noticed that it is no longer on the list of features (free or VIP). When did this change and should/could there be a VIP only section now that all members are allowed access. Obviously, by the timing of this post, it was precipitated by a 300+ comment post where mostly free users are complaining and redirecting folks to other services.

Seems like the paying users could have more rational discussions which might help the powers that be.
In what world would the fact you pay make your discussions more rational than someone that doesn’t? Oddly elitist.
As even you point out, there were dissenting voices from VIP users too. So, you’ve managed to wall out all the free users’ opinions but end up with the same experience?
Now, this is a good idea if you look at it from a good faith perspective; VIP is a paid subscription, there should be benefits. VIPs’ own section seems like a fair one to expect.

You are correct, it might be elitist but the other side of the coin seems to be entitled. What generated this post was the long thread which got out of hand. Having a VIP only forum could have been a much more productive, and less hostile, discussion.
Change sucks. We all get that, but people will adapt over time. Find another app? Maybe. Learn how to use the system within new limits? Entirely possible for most. Too expensive? Maybe (but I think so too).

It’s just while I get where you’re coming from, there were some very wild and out of line comments from a very specific VIP user too, so imo the rational part of the conversation would be about the same considering those users would be there too
