not seeing anything for a watched history limit, theyve always said that one is unlimited. can you screenshot where you saw that limit?
assuming theyre only able to see the settings on v3 since theyre not a vip, it doesn’t show the history limit like in my screenshot above. Theyve tweaked the fair use limits several times since the one you linked
I found under this website Trakt Web: Settings . Also, I screenshoted it here that says to remove duplicate entries and that deduplication keeps my oldest watch per item.
considering all the changes that have been made to limits, i would base the watch history off the VIP page. They used to show the limit on there and now they don’t as seen by the link that @ImpaktNY48 used above
I remember that and was looking for that. The website and even the app have been clunky since the updates as they aren’t as user-friendly to me. Instead of clicking on the checkmark icon to add a new watch to a movie or TV show, it asks if I want to remove my watched history of that particular item instead and I have to click the dots and go to watch again if I want to add a new watch of something I’ve watched previously.
But on something I haven’t watched, the checkmark icon will still add it as a new watch for the first time. It never used to be that way.
i dont use the website much in general, either v2 or v3. I mostly use the mobile app, so for marking an item i just long press on the check mark to get the options to mark as watched now or check-in, etc. if it doesn’t work that way on the website then the 3-dot menu should have the option like you mentioned. You might also want to check your settings to make sure you have multiple plays allowed; it was a setting they flipped for free users to disable multiple watches on items unless you went back into your settings to re-enable it
I got multiple watches enabled under the general settings to allow more than one watch.
then the check mark functions as expected, if you tap the mark on something already watched it lets you remove previous entries, but to mark watched again its the 3-dots. You can try long clicking on the check mark if you use the website but it might be easier using the app (i use iOS so thats all i have experience with, android might not have the same functionality)
Bullshit. That’s totally unexpected behavior.
It was and would totally be logical to have either some sort of menu by default or by long pressing to add to history right now or on another date or release date and remove plays
And a preferred action selected in settings with just one click.
A three dot menu is ridiculous. That should be used for hiding or something like the
sign on v2.
Though as expected this is just one other downgrade, that’s true.
it’s been the same on v2 so yes it’s normal behavior
That because you click on the purple thing. With the + icon to the right side you you get the “when did you watch this” pop up right away.
Also in the menu you clicked theres also the same + icon.
which is the same as clicking on the 3-dot menu, the functions align it’s just a visual change
