Accidental removal of watch history

Hello I made a mistake by using a beta app with the trakt api.

I opened a support thread on August 30 and @Kristin replied 5 days later saying “Thanks for reaching out! I’ve passed this along to a developer to take a look at. You should receive a response soon! :slight_smile:”

But since that message 41 days passed and nothing happened so far. 12 days ago I replied and no reaction. Then, 5 days ago I replied again, mentioning @Kristin specifically, but still no answer.

Here’s my issue:

I added an app to trakt and wanted to synchronize the My Dress-Up Darling series.
I added it to the app but the app just deleted all my watch history from trakt.

Is there a way to restore my watch history of this series?

Is it just this series? If so, why can’t you just mark them as watched again and take a guess at the dates (if that’s important to you)

If not, is it all series you’ve watched? Did you back up?

It’s just this one series. I don’t want to mark it as watched again, because the dates are important to me and I don’t remember when I watched the episodes.

No, I didn’t do a backup. How to do that?

Ah sorry mate, can’t help you there then. Probably support wil be able to help you out.

As for backups: go into settings > data and scroll down (on web). You can enable automatic back ups for future references.

Oh darn. You are correct. @NBA20 apolagies. Try tagging Support or sending them a direct e-mail.

Three days ago (Oct 23 2025) the “Director” Justin replied to my support ticket that he was able to restore the plays.

So, (Aug 30 2025 was when I contacted support) after 54 days my problem has been resolved after some nagging.

I’m grateful though. Thank you very much for undoing my stupid action, support team!

Edit: Almost forgot it. Also, @FerdiZ and @otakunet21 thanks for being willing to help. It means a lot.
