You already mentioned it’d be gone in that november product post. Why is it still there. This is not Netflix, I repeat this is NOT Netflix.
Forcing the language to be anything besides English upon first using the site.
Just don’t, people who want to use the site in a different language will. Otherwise use a clear language selection thingy at the top right corner. Like any other website with multiple languages
PLEASE just give people a choice for what artwork to use for on the “dashboard” page Preferably for each and every section.
Why are spoiler settings all or nothing. I don’t care what an episode title is, show me it. Just don’t show the description ??? Can’t even click on it to show the title.. Like what happened to CHOICE But then when you click on the episode image thing whatever to go to the episode, you do see the title visible, and description blurred.
Why is there no endless scrolling or at least more pages than a week in history…
Where are all the filters in history, why can’t i select a specific timeframe. :excl
Where is my dashboard calendar that I set up to start THREE DAYS AGO ??? I don’t wanna see what’s airing in the future. I wanna see what I missed. Or what’s airing in other countries and I can’t see in the Netherlands

You can’t Import a TV Show or Movie that’s missing from Trakt Library since that option is not present on the v3.
You can’t also report a issue with a TV/Movie listing anymore in like duplicate listing etc since that option is also missing.
A lot of options from the settings page is also missing. Hidden Items and Your Connected Apps pages are downright missing. So, if a person wants to revoke trakt access to a app or unhide an item, they can’t do that.
There is no global default for one-click Track either. You could one-click track (with an global default option to set watch date as current or release date, etc) or long press for specific date, now you have to select each option every time.
Add to Watchlist button works but the effects makes it seem like it doesn’t, cursor turns into no entry sign when clicked and doesn’t turn into Watchlisted (ie: icon light up).
5b) - Funnily, things I have watchlisted previously does show up as Watchlisted (icon lighting up) and by clicking it, I can remove it from watchlist but the things I added to watchlist on the new ui can’t be removed from watchlist since the system adds those items to the watchlist but the TV/movie title page itself shows that it was never watchlisted in the first place and hence no remove option.
Watch Now Favourite Services can’t be selected as that option is missing as well in settings.
Spoiler settings are missing.
Users can’t be searched and user profiles lack personality.
Doesn’t give total titles added in history, watchlist or personal list.
Doesn’t have fade, hide, filter and sort options for watched history, watchlist or lists.
Considering the age of this v3 abomination, it’s fascinating to see how many things are still missing… yet they saw fit to force it on everyone. Truly fascinating - if in all the worst ways.

To add to this: lack of timestamps in history is definitely insanely annoying (again, how old is this v3 nonsense again?), but also…
why is history sorted from morning to evening left to right? with no option to change it either, that I can find? when previously the leftmost was the latest thing watched on any given day?
how come clicking on episodes in history takes me to the series page? if not some random season of it? instead of the specific episode I clicked on?
and while at it, history remains broken up into days… which only seems to be a thing on desktop, not in the Android app, that’s just a flat list (though that doesn’t display exact watch time either). just… why?
on the series page, only the thumbnails are clickable… because perish the thought someone clicks on the episode title, I guess??
we used to be able to flip through episode pages by just the left/right arrow key… which isn’t a thing anymore, it seems. only way to navigate to another episode is way down below where they’re listed… once again, with the leftmost being the oldest, whereas before it was the most recent.
no option to have all the episodes of even a season listed at once, it’s horizontal scrolling all the way, baby. which, coupled with no keyboard navigation AND even the titles being smudged out unless one wants ALL the spoilers (see the compound of the smaller screwups yet?? and oddly enough, not a thing in the Android app, so hooray for major inconsistencies too!) - makes finding a specific episode an exercise is futility and frustration. once again, ACE DESIGN, TEAM!
marking an episode as watched is an incredibly frustrating thing to: the bloody button is in the left half of the screen, but then it opens the options in a flyout all the way on the right side, and selecting other date - pops up the date/time picker in the center of the screen/window. Who the hell designed this???
This whole thing is SUCH an incredible mess, months after it was introduced. What was even being worked on in all this time? And if it’s still so lacking in features and so unpolished overall, why the FUDGE is it being forced on EVERYONE?!
Not even talking about the complete UI/UX non-sense, I’ll add a couple of things I immediately noted:
PROGRESS page is not available at all anymore!!!
WATCHLIST order has been reset to a “default” status and the manual ordering is not an option anymore
These are very important aspects to me, and I guess to many other users as well.
I remember when there was the switch from V1 to V2 (I’m that old, yes!). Even if it was an “emergency” situation, it was handled in a more decent way. We at least had a list of features missing with a “get back status” and some priorities, nothing like that now. We are completely let down.
Why is it so difficult to find your show progress? and why is the screen so much worse?
how do i even if i watched an episode/show when i go to those pages?
How do i see if another user is watching what im watching?
Where do i see the total time i’ve watched this week/month/all time?? Where are all the stats?
I’ll be honest, i dont even see much use of going to the site anymore if i cant even see when i watched something. You used to be able to go to a show’s page and then see the last time/date/year when you watched it. Where is that information now? Hell, plex at least tells you that!
well i guess after years of using traktv this new UI is not even remotely usable. Can anyone give me a good site as a replacement for just tracking my shows and movies i watch.
Trakt is now useless. The new layout is horrible, it takes forever to scroll and find things, it creates more work to find something that was simple to find before. When you finally get to the page you need, it doesn’t load anyway. Trakt didn’t need an update, and I don’t understand how anyone could think rendering the app useless is an upgrade. It seems like someone thought the appearance needed improvement, whereas now it looks awful and has no function.
@lifeiscrazy May I ask you to update your post (so that other people can keep track of it all in one place) to include the fact that the following features that were available to free users previously are missing from V3 currently?

For like 5 minutes TV/Movie Title pages didn’t load at all even though rest of the pages were working, probably because a lot of the free users were put on a system that has never been tested that it could handle the load or that was being used by most people.
I’m sure I must have missed a lot more of the free user features that are missing from the new UI but that’s about as much that came to my mind.
@kcador I don’t see the point of having a web and Smartphone/Tablet/TV app with exact same UI and functions. Why would people wanna visit the website if it provides the same UI/UX functions as the app? It’s redundant. Might as well just put it on Windows/Mac app store instead and get rid of the website all together. Even Netflix has a different UI and more functions on the website than the apps.
Why do I need to add a note on why I want to favourite a movie?
Is it not enough that I just want to add it as a favourite, now I have to justify why? For who?
On that page, I sorted the TV shows so that the ones I haven’t finished yet were at the top, followed by the ones I’ve already completed.
The best part about that view was how easily I could see if a new season came out for a show I had previously completed. That’s the feature I miss the most in v3
New forced UI is a disaster, nothing works, can’t even work out how to rate by season, seems all my season data is gone for when I have rated by season, can’t see the order or progress of anything I’ve watched. I’m annoyed and looking for an alternative because clearly the users are not being listened to here.
For me, having to add a mandatory note when dropping a show is madness. I get that this give info, but for example, i “drop” many late night show because i just watch them sometimes and don’t want them showing on my calendar.
But now, all these dropped shows are on my calendar. Yes, I did watch Grey’s Anatomy seasons 1 to 5, but I don’t need to know is still airing on fridays
Also: Trakt Web: Calendar , that “ignore_watched=true” param is not working for me, idk if this is a global issue
AFAIK, neither can you comment or rate seasons, add notes to seasons, favorite seasons. They’ve decided for some reason that a “season” isn’t a valid or useful thing to track, which… I have a bunch of season comments & ratings in my history. Frustrating to have them hidden, if not outright deleted once V2 is shut off.
