Avoid horizontal scrolling in genre display under "Last 30 Days"

When there’s a genre with a long name at the very right of this display, a horizontal scroll bar appears. I’m not sure of how this could be avoided, but I’d like to see it so I thought I’d just throw it in here.

You mean Horizontal scroll? Vertical would be going up and down.

I think this is by design of the plugin/module they use to display that section. Because for many of us, we could have well over 20 genre’s and there’s no way they can all fit within that sections width.

However, when the website goes into mobile mode, the genre’s stack on top of each other.

Yeah, horizontal scrolling, of course, it was late last night. Could you perhaps provide a screenshot of that stacking so I know what it looks like?

I always had a lot of genres but in the past it would adapt on the dimension of the page just like the box with the 30 days. It adapts on the page getting bigger or little so there is no need for a bar.

Yeah right. It adapts except that it doesn’t take into account the fact that the name of the rightmost genre will stretch out further to the right than its colored block. However, if it would account for that, the colored blocks wouldn’t be perfectly centered anymore which could be a visual issue.

The current horizontal scrolling is correct. The “widget” scrolls, not the entire page. There is a very faint custom scroll bar under it…it’s hard to see so maybe @justin can get his team to maybe highlight that scroll bar a little better.

On mobile devices, you can simple put your finger on the widget and slide it back and forth.

Well yeah I know that this scrollbar exists, the whole post is about it. :face_with_peeking_eye::smile:
